Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
